Vito Acconci~ Final Paper

Vito Acconci loves to call out an audience to listen and focus on him, and at times not so much him
but the relations of people.

During an interview with Mark C. Taylor in Vito Acconci, Acconci responds to a question about the viewer, "Once a viewer is a participant, there's no receiver no contemplator- hence no viewer" (10).

In the audio work:
Under-History Lessons
the audience participates by not only listening, but the sentences call out for the audience to create strong opinions.

Unknown Sound o.O

Running time: 00:07
"That's easy..."

I ended up taking the 15 to the Third Ward and then meandering around for a good while.
Mostly walking around the Milwaukee Public Market, the river, under bridges, and other places.

I happen to run into something that I would not get real close too...they had no appreciation for my presence.

This sound bit was difficult to get a clear sound since I could not get too close and due to cars (-_-) Went by Borders close the bridge... (not good with names of things...yes, fail.) Walked closer to the water... and then left before they got more angry...

No. Not cats. I swear -_-
